Our Policies

Target Audience: Ages 13- 16. Year 9,10 and 11 Maths and Chemistry GCSE’s preparations.

Services: Our services are online and group tutoring.

NOTE: Here at Eduallyhub, we believe in God and put Him at the centre of all we do. One major way we implement this, is by praying at the start of each session.

1. Student’s behaviour and conduct online.

Students should treat tutors with respect and courtesy.
The use of abusive or offensive language, threats or harassment is highly prohibited.
Students should not make inappropriate suggestions or engage in any behaviours that could be seen as inappropriate.
Students are not allowed to share personal information with tutors, such as contact details or social media accounts.

2. Physical Environment and safety.

Students should ensure they are appropriately dressed for the session and avoid wearing nightwear.
Students should not join online lessons from their bedrooms whilst sitting on their bed.
Students should ensure a suitable and safe environment for the online session; such as a quiet and well-lit space.

3. Attendance and Participation.

Students are expected to participate in lessons, quizzes and Q & A’s sessions.
Students are expected to attend the sessions they’ve been booked for.

4. Communication and Privacy.

Students are not permitted to share personal information with tutors outside of the scheduled tutoring session.
Students should not engage in any form of inappropriate or unsolicited communication with the tutor.
Students should not record the tutoring session without the tutor’s permission.
Any communication outside of tutoring sessions should be passed through parents /guardian via WhatsApp or email.

5. Payments.

All payments are to be made by direct bank transfer. Insert your child’s name as payment reference.

If your child’s session falls on the second week or onwards in the month, total amount owed that month would depend on the number of sessions left and this should be paid (and cleared) 24 hours before first session. From then on, payment should be made on the first of every month.

Payment must be made in timely fashion and if this does not occur, the tuition would not be confirmed.

6.Safeguarding and Reporting.

Parents/ guardians should be aware that a session is taking place and should be consulted before any session.
Tutor reserves the right to report any concerns about the student’s behaviour to the parents.
Students should not record any session without informing the tutor.

Other Policies

Session slots: These are subject to change, but parents will be given plenty of notice before changes take place.

Cancellation of lessons by parents: Lesson cancellation by a parent due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. hospitalisation) would be carried over at the tutor’s discretion and availability.

If the cancellation notice time is less than 24 hours, or notice has not been given, or the student fails to attend, then that lesson shall be forfeited. Please do take note there would not be a refund in this case.

Cancellation of lesson by tutor: In exceptional circumstances, a lesson may have to be cancelled and re-scheduled, in which case the tutor will give as much notice as possible to parents.

Lateness: Lessons would start at the scheduled time. If a student is late, the time will not be made up and what has been missed will not be taught. Lateness of student for more than 15 minutes, will result in a cancelled lesson. The lesson fees will not be refunded and there will be no make-up lesson scheduled.

Whilst the tutor will endeavour to ensure the student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed and the tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the student. Therefore, it is expected that parents will encourage their child’s progress at home by supporting them and ensuring assignments are completed to high standards. The tutor expects this as a matter of high importance.

If a child attends classes without completing their assignments, a verbal warning will be given if this happens the first time. If it happens the second time, a written warning will be given and if it happens a third time, this will result in the termination of the tutoring contract.

*The tuition operates on a 3-strike policy, where a third strike results in immediate cancellation of contract.

Withdrawal: If parents wish to withdraw their chid/children, they must give 4 weeks’ written notice.

NOTE: During Half term holidays, summer holidays, the regular lesson times are subject to change and this will be communicated via email.

How do online lessons work?

Eduallyhub lessons are going to be taught on Zoom. We would also use features like the whiteboard in our online classroom; have quizzes; consolidate learning and periodically have assessments (usually past papers).

We would use the child’s exam board specification as a guide to preparing their notes.

Are the sessions recorded?

Majorly, for the year 11s, they’re the only ones who would have recorded sessions. For the other years, if necessary.

How long is each tutoring session?

Our Math session is two hours and our Chemistry session is just an hour and a half.

How much does tutoring cost?

Tutoring starts at £30 for 90 minutes chemistry session. Our maths starts at £40 per session (2 hours).

Do you offer a free trial?

No.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

No.
